We have a amazing opportunity to join a young person's leisure resort as a head chef. You will have experience of running a very busy kitchen and catering for up to 650 covers. You will have experience working in a high volume kitchen as well providing excellent quality food for the visitors and staff. You will have extensive experience making sure the kitchen is safe of allergens.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook nutritious, balanced meals for a up to 650 students and staff.
* Ensure all meals meet dietary, religious, and medical requirements, including allergen awareness.
* Work efficiently in a high-volume catering environment while maintaining quality.
* Build and develop the team
* Follow food hygiene and safety regulations to the highest standards.
* Assist with menu planning, incorporating variety and special dietary needs.
* Collaborate with the catering team to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety procedures.
* Oversee kitchen audits
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume catering kitchen
* Strong knowledge of allergens, special diets, and food safety regulations.
* A passion for food and creating meals that cater to diverse needs.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Experience running a team
