Role Overview
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab on a project advancing multimodal machine learning — systems that interpret visuals and sound. We are seeking detail-oriented freelance contributors to review short video and audio clips and compare AI-generated outputs. This is a short-term, fully remote engagement with flexible hours. Your evaluations will help improve the accuracy and reliability of next-generation AI.
Eligibility
Applicants must be based in one of the following locations: United States (excluding California, Connecticut, Washington, and the District of Columbia), United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia.
Responsibilities
* Review and evaluate multimedia content (audio, images, and video).
* Compare AI outputs and select the result that best meets quality criteria.
* Tag and annotate clips to support training and benchmarking.
* Follow clear project guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
Qualifications
* Fluent in English (native or near-native); additional languages are a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
* Reliable adherence to instructions and quality standards.
* Comfortable working independently and maintaining focus on repetitive tasks.
Engagement & Schedule
* Fully remote and asynchronous; work when it suits you.
* Short-term, contract-based role.
* Workload varies based on task availability.
Compensation & Contract
* $16 per hour for time spent on tasks.
* Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
* Independent contractor arrangement.
