Responsibilities: Horticultural Excellence: Execute a diverse range of duties, including soil cultivation, meticulous weeding, precise edging, skilled pruning, and appropriate planting techniques. Lawn Care Mastery: Perform comprehensive lawn maintenance, including mowing and edging, with a paramount focus on achieving exceptional presentation and aesthetic quality. Team & Contractor Supervision: Supervise on-site contractors, rigorously ensuring their work complies with submitted Risk Assessments and Method Statements and meets required standards. Site Tidiness: Undertake thorough litter removal and leaf collection/clearance, ensuring all gardens and commercial grounds are consistently tidy. Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to all pertinent Health and Safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and site-specific protocols in every task performed. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain hand tools and light horticultural machinery, including ride-on mowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers, in accordance with best practice. Project Support: Assist in developing specifications and cost estimations for minor landscaping projects (e.g., procurement and installation of new plants). Essential: Proven Horticultural Experience Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and techniques Demonstrable experience in Leadership and Management Proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
