An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time 22.5 hour post as clinical skills tutor for medical education. If you are a suitably experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or AHP, this may be the opportunity for you. You will be working within a small but dynamic team providing clinical skills and simulation.
The successful candidate will continue to develop skills of advanced clinical reasoning, leadership and supervision in a supportive environment. They will support the clinical skills lead for medical education, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality education and assessment, and act as an effective role model for the team, upholding the ethos of multidisciplinary working with clinical fellows. The post requires day shifts only.
Main duties of the job
* Work within the Resuscitation, Clinical Skills and Simulation team to enhance and improve the clinical competency of multidisciplinary staff, focusing on development and support for undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
* Provide clinical education and training to all grades of trust staff, supporting the achievement of departmental targets, KPIs and service improvement projects.
* Lead on specific service improvement projects as delegated by the departmental team leader.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Health Care Professional with the associated academic qualification.
* Demonstrable record of working at Degree Level.
* Recognised teaching qualification or demonstrable experience offering clinical education.
* Experience in clinical examination modules.
Knowledge
* Extensive knowledge of clinical skills within clinical practice.
* Knowledge of medical education programmes for both undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
* Experience dealing with highly sensitive performance issues within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
* Experience providing training and education within an existing workplace setting.
* Experience of medium/high fidelity simulation training and feedback techniques.
