We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school on a permanent basis, starting January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of music and nurture students’ creativity across a dynamic department.
Duties
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Lead practical sessions in performance, composition and music theory.
* Organise and support school concerts, ensembles and extracurricular music activities.
* Assess, monitor and report on students’ progress in line with school policies.
* Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that fosters creativity and confidence.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and enrich the school’s musical life.
Ideal Music Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for both traditional and contemporary music.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
* Excellent organisational, communication and classroom management skills as Music Teacher.
* Commitment to supporting extracurricular music and whole-school events.
