Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals within care homes and home care settings. Duties
* Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities according to personalised care plans
* Administering medication as directed and maintaining accurate records
* Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Communicating effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
* Driving residents or equipment when necessary for appointments or outings
* Updating care plans regularly to reflect changing needs and preferences
Experience
* Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
* Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous
* Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required
* Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues
* Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
