We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operation and be the operational anchor the business needs.
This is not a traditional office manager role. You will own the machine that delivers our client experience — the team, the workflow, the standards, and the service quality that underpins everything we do. You will have the autonomy to lead and the authority to hold people to what is expected. For the right person this is a genuine opportunity to help build a boutique firm from the inside.
What you will own
* Managing a small in-office team day to day — setting clear expectations, owning the weekly operating rhythm, and being the person the team comes to first, not the MD
* Keeping the live client pipeline moving, spotting stalled cases and driving action before they become a problem
* Owning the MD's diary and weekly schedule so he walks into every week fully prepared
* Holding white glove service standards across every client touchpoint — turnaround times, communication quality, proactive follow up
* Being the escalation point for anything that needs judgement before it reaches the advisers
* Pulling together the weekly business scorecard and providing clear visibility to leadership
* Building, documenting and maintaining the SOPs and processes that underpin a scaling boutique practice
Who you are
* Experience in financial services, mortgages, legal or a similar professional services environment
* Proven experience managing or leading a small team — genuinely, not just in title
* A calm, credible presence who raises standards just by being in the room
* Highly organised with nothing falling through the gaps on your watch
* Commercially sharp — you understand operations exist to serve clients, not to create process for its own sake
* Proactive, you spot problems and act without being asked
* Genuinely interested in the world of wealth management, founders, and high-end client service

* Up to £50,000 depending on experience
