Job Description
Quantitative Analyst – Power Markets
London (Hybrid, 2–3 days/week) | £Competitive + Equity
This is a rare chance to shape the trading brain of a high-growth climate tech startup, one that’s already controlling real-world assets like EV chargers, home batteries, and heat pumps across the UK.
We’re looking for a technically strong, analytically sharp Quant Analyst to work on the cutting edge of power markets. You’ll design, prototype, and test trading strategies that go straight into production.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building and validating trading logic based on live market data, price signals, and asset performance
* Prototyping new algorithms to optimise trading decisions across a growing asset base
* Working alongside engineering and product teams to deploy strategies at scale
* Playing a key role in how their automated trading system evolves in real time
Why This Role Stands Out
* Direct line to impact — your work touches commercial performance, carbon reduction, and system efficiency
* Strategy to production — no layers of bureaucracy, just smart ideas turned into live trading logic
* Work with a highly technical, mission-driven team solving tough energy problems
* Be part of one of the UK’s fastest-scaling clean energy startups
What They’re Looking For
* A strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field — ideally from a top university
* Solid Python skills, with experience working with data-heavy environments
* An analytical mindset with a good understanding of markets, systems, and incentives
* Previous experience or strong interest in power markets, energy trading, or similar complex systems is a big plus
If you’re driven by data, excited by markets, and want your work to help build a smarter, greener energy system — we’d love to hear from you.
