The Role:
An Assistant Broker is responsible for preparing and submitting business to carrier partners, following up on quotations, and providing analytics for key accounts. In this role, you will also be responsible for coordinating internal strategy meetings.
Major Accountabilities:
1. Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks in order to support the placement of risks into the market, with support from more experienced brokers.
2. Develop client and prospect presentations to secure new business and to build on existing relationships.
3. Research market solutions to identify and develop optimal risk solutions for clients.
4. Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to at all times.
5. Execute straightforward new business placements, renewals, and simple alterations to existing cover, under supervision.
6. Record and maintain all information accurately within the appropriate systems.
7. Work closely with colleagues from other departments that support the broking process (. Analytics).
8. Build technical skills by satisfactorily completing required basic and intermediate training courses.
9. Prepare draft submission documents and finalize submissions for delivery.
10. Review quotations against specifications and develop side-by-side comparisons.
