We are searching for a talented Sous Chef with a proven track record in good quality restaurants. This role will suit someone who has the ability and creativity to assist our Kitchen team in developing the kitchen brigade and menus to establish The Links at Tenby golf club as one of the most highly regarded restaurants in the area.
Live-in accomidation would be available for the first 3 months if required.
The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
Cooking and preparing high quality dishes
Overseeing all sections of the kitchen
Supervising, training and motivating chefs of all levels
Being responsible for health and safety
Being responsible for all food hygiene practices
Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created
Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including hygiene and food safety guidelines
You must have:
Level 2 or 3 Food Safety certificate
Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH)
Competent level of English spoken and written
Good knowledge of all sections
Good team management and communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and trends
Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and the skills of those working with you
Possess a positive and approachable manner
The ability to work as part of, and lead a team
The ability to implement new ideas and processes
Desirable qualifications include:
City & Guilds 706/1 | 706/2 Catering
