McCarthy Stone, the UK's leading retirement living provider, is recruiting a permanent House Manager to join our team at Clarence Court development in Horsham, West Sussex.
Hours: 15 hours per week - Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
Hourly rate: £13.77 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a customer-centric House Manager to uphold our high standards of customer service. The role focuses on enhancing residents' quality of life and supporting their independence, involving high-level customer service, front-of-house duties, and facilities management. The successful candidate will foster a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to update and support residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming new homeowners and assisting them in settling into their apartments.
* Providing professional front-of-house service and managing visitors courteously.
* Being the primary contact for homeowners, offering support and advice.
* Collaborating with partners and suppliers for smooth estate operations.
* Representing McCarthy Stone to residents' families and friends.
* Handling homeowner issues with sensitivity, confidentiality, and respect.
* Managing gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
* Facilitating social activities and promoting community engagement.
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Experience in customer service roles.
* A professional approach with high standards.
* The ability to thrive in a dynamic, varied environment.
* Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
* Basic knowledge of Health and Safety (training provided).
* Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* First aid qualifications are advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
