Senior Administrative Manager – Surgical Care Collaborative, part‑time 15 hours. Opportunity to share with the current Admin Manager and manage surgical admin teams across multiple specialities, coordinating with consultants, nursing staff and managers.
Key responsibilities include operational management of administrative staff, delivering key performance objectives, responding flexibly to service needs, ensuring confidentiality, negotiation and communication skills, empathy, managing challenging situations, reporting to the Surgical Care Collaborative, supporting day‑to‑day service delivery, leading senior meetings, modernising processes, budgetary responsibility, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Experience and Understanding
The role requires a deep understanding of each service’s needs and how admin staff support clinical teams to deliver outstanding care.
Qualifications and Experience
* Advanced Diploma for Medical Secretaries or equivalent experience.
* IT qualification or equivalent experience.
* University degree.
Experience and Knowledge
* Significant administrative experience and line management of a team.
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Experience training and appraising staff.
* Knowledge of Digital Dictation and Voice Recognition.
* Experience managing medical rotas.
* Experience working within the NHS.
* Knowledge of trust policy and process.
