Larksfield Supported Living, based in Wisbech, supports adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. The Senior Support Worker will promote life‑skills development, organise planned activities, and support individuals to live independently.
Main responsibilities
* Report to the Registered Manager and ensure the service meets Care Quality Commission regulations.
* Maintain accurate service information: care plans, medication management records, risk assessments, safeguarding and incident reports.
* Conduct audits, quality‑assurance checks and attend professional meetings.
* Work within Mental Capacity legislation and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, applying relevant legislation to the area of responsibility.
* Provide support and advice on daily living, manage complex health issues and medication for people with disabilities.
* Lead and supervise a team of staff, delivering support individually and as a group, ensuring adequate cover and supporting staff development.
* Participate in a comprehensive training programme and pursue development opportunities.
* Work various shifts (7 am–11 pm, including sleep‑ins, bank holidays and one weekend in four with paid enhancements).
Qualifications and experience
* Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related subject (or equivalent experience).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in IT.
* Experience working with vulnerable people and an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
* Commitment to confidentiality, person‑centred practice and competent use of legislation.
* Capable of working lone and as part of a team.
