Job Description
Key responsibilities:
* Develop detailed mechanical designs for industrial and manufacturing applications.
* Collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
* Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
* Evaluate designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost–effectiveness.
* Assist in prototyping and testing mechanical systems and components.
* Identify and resolve design issues through analysis and problem–solving techniques.
* Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:
* Proficiency in CAD software and design tools including, Solidworks/Inventor, Vault, and ERP/MRP systems.
* Proficiency in creating BOMs.
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials selection.
* Experience working within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Problem–solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
