A well-established manufacturer based in Leicestershire, part of an international group, is seeking a forward-thinking HR Director to lead and evolve its people strategy. With 150 employees on site—predominantly in operational roles—the business is entering a phase of exciting transformation, developing greater autonomy and a people-first culture. You’ll join the Senior Leadership Team, playing a critical role in shaping the future of the UK operation, supporting performance, and driving a positive and engaging working environment. Key Responsibilities: Define and deliver the HR strategy aligned with the company’s transformation and growth plans Champion a high-performance, inclusive and employee-oriented culture, working closely with senior leadership Lead organisational design, workforce planning and talent management initiatives Oversee employee well-being, long-term absence management, and Occupational Health Direct all recruitment, onboarding and succession planning processes Lead the implementation of a new cloud-based HR system, overseeing data accuracy and reporting Manage the employee benefits offering, liaising with brokers and communicating effectively to staff Drive leadership development and training programs across all levels of management Ensure full compliance with employment law, GDPR, and internal HR policies Foster employee engagement through visibility on the shop floor and ownership of company events Provide strategic oversight of the payroll function and direct line management of the HR team Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing insight, challenge, and support across all people matters About You: A seasoned HR leader (HR Director or senior HR Business Partner) with experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting Comfortable working across both strategic and operational levels Commercially astute with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change Strong track record of creating and leading HR strategies in growing or transforming businesses Approachable, visible, and collaborative leadership style Confident managing HR systems implementation, data analysis, and reporting Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance requirements What’s on Offer: Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 per annum 25 days holiday 8 bank holidays 6% employer pension contribution life assurance The opportunity to lead the HR function in a well-established, forward-looking business Significant influence at board level, shaping the culture and direction of the company Ready to Take the Lead?
