KS2 Teacher - Join Our Creative, Nurturing Community
Are you a passionate and imaginative educator looking for real teaching freedom? Do you want to work where the curriculum feels alive, children are known as individuals, and your creativity is valued?
At Educare Small School in Kingston upon Thames, we offer something different - a genuine nurturing, creative and balanced environment where teachers have the freedom to truly teach.
We are seeking a warm, imaginative and reflective KS2 Teacher to join our small independent school community.
Why Educare?
Creative Curriculum Freedom
We use the National Curriculum as a flexible framework - not a rigid checklist. You will have the professional autonomy to design engaging, meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity and respond to the children in front of you.
Small Classes, Real Relationships
Because we are small, you genuinely get to know every child - academically, socially and emotionally. You can tailor learning, build trust and see the real impact of your teaching every day.
A Caring, Safe and Balanced Environment
Wellbeing sits at the heart of our school. We prioritise emotional development alongside academic growth, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere where children and adults flourish.
Forest School & Outdoor Learning
Our children regularly attend Forest School sessions and outdoor learning experiences, giving you the opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom and embrace a holistic approach. This is run by a specialist Forest school teacher.
Alexander Technique
We incorporate the Alexander Technique into school life, supporting posture, self-awareness and calm focus - benefiting both pupils and staff.
Specialist Teaching
A dedicated music teacher works with the children weekly, enriching our creative curriculum and allowing you valuable collaboration time.
Strong Community Links
We are a true community school. From our Christmas Raffle to the local Ham Fair and other shared events, families, staff and children come together in purposeful and enriching way
Collaborative, Supportive Staff Team
Our staff team is small, close and genuinely supportive. We plan together, share ideas and help one another.
Work That Feels Good
Gone are endless evenings buried in marking and formal testing. Our assessment approach is reflective, individualised and meaningful- and we focus on what matters most in learning.
Healthy Work-Life Balance
The school day typically runs 8:00am–4:00pm, with a half-day PPA each week. Without the pressure and workload often associated with larger state settings, you can rediscover the joy of teaching.
If you are looking for a school where:
You are trusted as a professional
Creativity is encouraged
Children are known and valued as individuals
Staff wellbeing matters
We would love to hear from you.
