Following the retirement of the current postholder Stockport Grammar Junior School is looking to recruit a Deputy Head (Operations/Pastoral) from 1 January 2027. This is a pivotal leadership role within the Junior School, combining strategic leadership with day-to-day operational management.
We Are Looking For
* A strong classroom practitioner.
* At least 7 years’ experience within the 3-11 age range. Ideally with experience across more than one key stage.
* Evidence of leadership in a phase, or a subject, with demonstratable impact.
* Experience in managing pastoral needs.
* Strong organisational skills – whole school diary management etc
* Deputy DSL or DSL experience (desirable).
* Change management experience.
* Recent and relevant knowledge of the primary curriculum.
* Experience in contributing towards the formulation of a school development plan.
* Team-player willing to embrace change and a challenge.
