Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. •Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy •State Registration with HPC •Min 4 years’ experience working as an Occupational therapist in NHS in relevant field •Student supervisors’ course
Desirable criteria
2. •Membership of specialist group in relevant area of work •Leadership course
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
3. •Evidence of knowledge and application of specialist assessments, management and outcome measures in line with current best practice in OT in Orthopaedics in an acute NHS hospital setting • •Evidence of managing own caseload (punctuality, prioritisation and time management) •Experience of supervising / managing / developing junior / therapy technicians / assistants through IPR and teaching. •Experience of proactive involvement in service development and deputising for team lead. •Experience of supervising student placements. • Experience of audit/ service improvement

4. • Experience in a band 7 role • Experience of resource management
