We’re looking for a hands-on Process Engineer – Press Operations to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role ensures compliance with DMUK and EU standards while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operating and Setting Up Presses: This includes loading raw materials, setting up tools and dies, and adjusting machine settings to achieve desired results.
2. Checking Product Quality: Inspecting finished products for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and performing basic maintenance on the machinery.
4. Following Production Plans: Adhering to production schedules and instructions to meet targets.
5. Documentation: Maintaining performance logbooks and documenting any issues or changes.
6. Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
7. Working with Others: Liaising with team leaders, engineers, and other operators to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Experience:
8. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of press machinery, tooling, and materials.
9. Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
10. Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to machine operation or product quality.
11. Attention to Detail: Ensuring that products meet quality standards.
12. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
13. Basic Math Skills: For calculations related to production and material usage.
14. Press Regulations trained
15. Experience in press setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
16. Knowledge of quality systems, process controls, and lean tools.
17. Strong problem-solving, mechanical, and communication skills.
18. Trained in press safety and regulations.
