Join to apply for the B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer(UMT) -Luton role at Bombardier. Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. The Base and Line Maintenance Centre is a fast-growing Service Centre with capabilities to perform maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades from a single site.
Responsibilities
* Adhere to Bombardier Maintenance Organization Procedures, including the MOE and applicable work instructions.
* Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain customer aircraft.
* Perform and document all work per applicable manuals and regulations.
* Train, coach and support other employees.
* Respond to customer queries and requests.
* Perform complete engine runs as required.
* Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems.
* Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks and ensure work meets required standards.
* Release line maintenance tasks for which trained and authorized.
* Perform maintenance at off-site locations and manage day-to-day station administration.
* Assist in providing time and cost estimates.
* Report to the Operations Manager and use initiative to resolve difficult situations.
Qualifications
* EASA/CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License: B1, B2 and C (ideally with additional Part-147 approved type training).
* Experience in Business Jet line maintenance within the last 3 to 5 years (ideally on Bombardier aircraft types such as Challenger, Global, Learjet).
* Ability to train other employees and interpret engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of Part-66 Appendix I, Part-M, Part-145 and related regulations.
* At least 6 months of relevant aircraft or maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period.
* Knowledge of human factors, human performance and limitations; EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
* Current on all recurrent/continuation training and capable of effective written and verbal communication.
* Ability to use information systems and work with maintenance documentation.
