Position: Lead Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities Will Include
* Mechanical engineering project oversight.
* Key reviewer; peer to peer and gate reviews.
* Management of the specific mechanical engineering project team.
* Create and develop work breakdown schedules to manage the engineering team to project specific goals and deadlines.
* Report progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in delivery.
* Support the Head of Mechanical to provide insight to business strategic vision.
* Mentor and support the development of Junior Mechanical Engineers.
* Compliant with all aspects of company legislative compliance, HSE and HR.
Qualifications And Experience
* A minimum of 10 years industry experience.
* A minimum of 3 years experience leading a team.
* Ability to create and review components, sub‑assemblies and General Arrangements in 3D CAD.
* Ability to create and review 2D drawings in conjunction with BS8888.
* Proven experience of working in a fast paced, challenging engineering sector.
* Proven experience of delivering complex projects.
* Proven experience of leading a cohesive and effective team.
* Proven experience of empowering engineers and identifying growth opportunities.
* Detailed understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.
