ATE Applications Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £53,000 DOE
Location: Yateley, Hampshire
Hours: Full-Time | 8-Hour Standard Day Shift

Syntech Recruitment is representing a market-leading client in the automated test equipment (ATE) sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to join an innovative team at the forefront of electronics hardware and software testing solutions. Our client supports a global customer base and is seeking a proactive, technically astute individual who thrives in a hands‑on, customer‑facing role. This role offers significant exposure, including international travel to support installations, training, and system implementation.
Responsibilities
* Provide on‑site and remote support for ATE hardware and software systems.
* Collaborate with internal design teams to implement and validate custom test solutions.
* Develop and debug ATE test sequences, calibration sequences, and hardware interfaces.
* Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize system downtime and improve test efficiency.
* Deliver end‑user training, technical documentation, and presentations.
* Support system installations, upgrades, and modifications globally.
* Engage with clients to gather feedback and improve product offerings.
* Ensure solutions comply with internal quality processes and industry standards.
Requirements
* Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Strong background in electronics design, embedded systems, or test engineering.
* Familiarity with ATE platforms and associated software tools.
* Programming proficiency in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or PowerStar.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills and customer engagement experience.
* Willingness to travel regularly, both within the UK and internationally.
