PwC’s UK-based ethical hacking team is the global Centre of Excellence for Ethical Hacking. Our vision is to become the premier global Ethical Hacking team, serving FTSE and Fortune clients. As part of this team, you will assist clients in testing the effectiveness of their security controls in technology and human processes. We work closely with clients to become trusted advisors, offering more than just penetration testing.
The team consists of specialists from various backgrounds, including red teaming, software development, networking, systems administration, hardware testing, reverse engineering, RF engineering, and cybersecurity industry veterans. We focus on expanding our capabilities, flexibility, curiosity, and investing in training to develop world-class experts.
Experience
* Practical skills in delivering ethical hacking services
* Proficiency with Windows and Android/Linux OS
* Understanding of networking fundamentals
* Knowledge of hardware components like CPU, Memory, Storage
* Basic reverse engineering skills
* Willingness to learn new technologies
* Curiosity and desire to develop expertise
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Experience in coding or software development in Python3, C++, Java, Smali, or x86_64 Assembly
Additional advantageous skills include:
* Experience with Gen-AI frameworks, MCPs, and LLMs
* Knowledge of database, web, and cloud architectures
* Understanding of security technologies like AV, SIEM, IPS, F/W, SSO, DLP
* Masters degree in computer science, cyber, or STEM fields
Responsibilities
As an Ethical Hacking Associate, you will work according to CREST or CHECK standards to support clients by exposing vulnerabilities through ethical hacking of IT systems, applications, OT, and IoT environments. You will receive coaching from senior colleagues, conduct various tests, perform research into vulnerabilities, and produce risk-based reports.
