Due to workload and a new IT system being implemented, we need help please Do you have great people and communication skills? Do you have some experience doing 1st Line IT Support - sorting out the basic IT issues - have you turned off / on again? Have you rebooted? All the time being friendly, calm, helpful and professional? Are you available asap for 6 months or so? If 'yes' we could have a lovely little contract for you! Location: Houghton Regis, Beds Rate of Pay: £12.74ph rising to £14.40ph after 12 weeks Benefits: additional holiday pay free parking Days/Hours of work: Mon- Fri 9am 5pm (35 hours per week) Overview of the role: * 1st Line Technical Support using Service Desk Software (Samanage). * undertake UAT testing with the team when required * Provide efficient and effective support to system users. * Ensure that service desk requests are logged and processed efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner * Resolving tickets on a 1st line level and where necessary, take detailed info and escalate to a more senior IT personnel for support. * Undertake any other related work under the direction of the IT Management Team Person Requirements : * Highly motivated with excellent administrative and organisational skills * Good experience of IT systems and accurate keyboard skills * Excellent customer service skills, both in person and on the telephone * Experience in working in a customer focused environment * Ability to work independently and also as part of a team * Previous Service Desk experience This is a temp role to start asap - so if you are available for about 6 months or so and fancy earning a bit of money in the meantime doing a 1st line support role and have the requirements then please send your CV to James Newbury Appointments now for review. if you do not hear back within 3 working days unfortunately you will not have been shortlisted but thank you for your interest and we do hope we can help on another occasion
