A specialist provision in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is looking for a SEN Teacher to join their nurturing environment, designed for pupils with complex communication needs. Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Create a supportive, nurturing and structured learning environment for children with a range of SEN.
* Use a variety of SEND-appropriate teaching strategies, resources and communication methods (e.g., visual supports, sensory tools).
* Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to inform planning and reporting.
* Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support and personalised learning.
* Implement behaviour-support strategies that promote emotional regulation, communication and independence.
* Promote social skills, communication and functional life skills through structured activities and play-based learning.
* Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that meets the sensory and emotional needs of young children.
Requirements Include:
* QTS (preferred)
* Experience with SEN and/or Early Years
* A creative, practical and nurturing teaching style
* Enhanced DBS Check with subscription to the Update Service
