Job Title: QA/QC Inspector

Hours of Work: Full-time: 37 hours on shifts (some flexibility required)

Outline of Role and Responsibilities
* Ensure all incoming goods are verified by inspection in accordance with purchase order, works order requirements, and specifications.
* Assist the Quality department in the manufacturability review of drawings to determine required inspection activity and verify production against customer requirements and specifications.
* Verify customers’ products by inspection to meet customer requirements and specifications.
* Report any non‑conformances, product or process, to the QA department in a timely manner; perform in‑process inspection during manufacture when required.
* Maintain and control the calibration of all internal inspection equipment; report damaged or misused equipment to the QA Department.
* Operate the CMM machine for inspection purposes and program where necessary (specific training will be provided when required).
* Operate the FARO Arm for in‑process and final inspections.
* Ensure all inspection areas are maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
* Work in collaboration with other departments to achieve business objectives.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Perform necessary administrative tasks related to the role.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or experience as a QC Inspector demonstrating the ability to carry out the role.
* Experience in a medium to heavy engineering environment (preferably Oil and Gas).
* Previous experience with gauge‑maker measuring equipment is an advantage.
* Familiarity with the operation of CMM equipment.
* Good working knowledge of basic trigonometry and interpretation of drafting symbols.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, etc.).
* Ability to work as part of an inspection team and also on own initiative.
* Flexibility to work shift patterns and a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
