A Higher Education institution in London is seeking an IT Procurement Coordinator to provide hands-on support to its central procurement team on an interim basis.This role is support focused and sits below the IT Category Lead level. It will suit someone with experience supporting procurements, managing procurement processes, and assisting with reporting,pliance and stakeholder engagement. Candidates who have run procurements independently (particularly lower value or straightforward exercises) and those with exposure to public procurement environments will be well suited.
You will work closely with senior procurement colleagues, helping to keep procurement activity moving efficiently andpliantly across the organisation.
Your new role
1. Provide day-to-day support to Category Managers and the wider procurement team
2. Assist with the coordination and delivery of procurement activity, including running low-value or lessplex procurements
3. Manage the procurement inbox, triaging queries and escalating where appropriate
4. Support contract and pipeline reporting, using Excel and procurement systems
5. Act as a first point of contact for routine procurement queries from internal stakeholders.
6. Supportpliance with procurement policies and public procurement regulations
7. Assist with maintaining contract registers, renewal schedules and reporting
8. Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and guidance
9. Support embedding sustainability, equality and goodernance considerations into procurement activity
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
10. Experience in a procurement support, procurement officer or coordinator role
11. Experience supporting or running procurements, particularly lower value exercises
12. Some understanding or exposure to public sector / public procurement environments
13. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting
14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
15. Confidentmunicator,fortable dealing with internal stakeholders
Desirable:
16. Experience within Higher Education or wider public sector
17. Awareness of public procurement regulations ( PCR / Procurement Act 2023)
18. CIPS qualification or willingness to study towards
19. Experience supporting contract management or procurement pipelines
