Blue Legal have partnered with a global law firm to resource a Head of Marketing & Business Development (M&BD), based in London. The role-holder will oversee and drive the firm’s strategic business development initiatives across six key sectors and manage the M&BD team, ensuring the alignment with the firm’s objectives.
The Responsibilities:
* Manage the In-Group M&BD team, setting clear objectives, conducting appraisals, and ensuring high-quality, consistent support across all sectors.
* Collaborate with sector leaders to develop and implement business development plans, ensuring each group’s objectives are aligned with the firm’s overall strategy.
* Lead the drafting and management of proposals, bids, panels, and marketing materials for client opportunities.
* Provide guidance on budget management for the Groups, ensuring alignment with business development priorities.
* Improve processes and foster knowledge sharing between teams to enhance efficiency and best practices.
* Regularly report on business development activities to senior management and sector teams.
* Lead client engagement efforts, including client listening initiatives and relationship meetings.
* Oversee the implementation of branding and PR campaigns to position the firm and its sector groups as thought leaders.
* Manage the directory submission process, ensuring accurate representation across sectors.
The Candidate:
* 10-15 years of experience in marketing and BD, ideally within professional services.
* Proven leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
* Strong commercial focus with excellent project management and organisational skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
