The role requires a recognized full accountancy qualification such as CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, etc. Additionally, experience in financial modelling, data analysis, and strategic planning is essential. Candidates should have relevant experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the public sector or local government, to understand the unique financial challenges faced by local authorities and to create accurate financial models.
