The successful applicant will:
Support Management and staff to provide a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for residents and their families.
Oversee staff and ensure all relevant tasks are carried out.
Ensure all residents receive person-centred care.
Comply with all CQC and local authority regulations, complete CQC notifications, DOLs applications and safeguarding notifications.
Review accident and incident reports, oversee care plans, carry out Mental Capacity assessments and assess new residents when necessary.
Take part in the monthly residents’ meeting.
Oversee all staff meetings, head of department meetings and family meetings.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are carried out.
Complete quality audits and assign them to the relevant staff.
Document the Personal Emergency Evacuation Procedures.
Display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities and work systems to staff.
Carry out a daily walk around.
Be able to use the company software.
Demonstrate proven organisational and planning skills to ensure continuity of care.
Demonstrate motivational leadership skills and promotion of high standards of care.
Be adaptive and flexible, willing to cover a range of responsibilities.

Whether you are helping someone with limited mobility learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you will always have their well-being in mind above anything else.
