Job Description
Contribute to the provision of a quality early learning and childcare service for children aged 2 to 5 years and their families/carers. Support the wider programme of work to reduce inequalities and close the poverty-related attainment gap, working to the principles of the Health and Social Care Standards: My support, my life. Promote collegiate practice and teamwork across the early childhood centre to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives within the Early Childhood Centre Improvement Plan, the Education Service Plan, the Children and Young People’s Services Plan, and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member or have an updated PVG record before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
This is a full-time, term-time permanent position based at Auchinleck ECC, Auchinleck. The base is Auchinleck ECC, but work may be required across East Ayrshire Council.
