Health & Safety Manager – Multi-Site Industrial Operation
Based near Banbury, with regular regional travel
£55,000 – £60,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits
We are recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to lead operational safety across a multi-site industrial operation, with a strong focus on operational safety. This role partners closely with operational teams to improve safety culture and ensure robust control of risk in high-hazard environments.
You’ll sit within a wider compliance structure but take the lead on day-to-day safety performance at site level, driving practical improvements where it matters most. This is a hands-on, visible role where you’ll make a real difference to safety performance and culture across key sites.
The Role:
* Deliver operational H&S strategy across multiple industrial locations
* Act as a business partner to site teams, supporting a positive and proactive safety culture
* Manage and develop a small regional team (2 direct reports)
* Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments with a focus on plant operations
* Support and implement safety-critical procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, confined space, and machinery safety
* Engage and coach site leadership and operational staff on best practice and compliance
* Provide clear reporting to leadership and collaborate with environmental and quality teams
About You:
* NEBOSH-qualified with experience in a heavy manufacturing, waste management, or similar heavy plant environment
* Strong understanding of high-risk operational controls and processes (LOTO, permit systems, etc.)
* Proven ability to influence, engage, and improve safety performance on the ground
* Experience managing a dispersed team and working across multiple locations
* Confident, credible, and committed to practical, risk-focused safety management
* Full UK Driving licence and willing to travel regularly within the region
