About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Assistant to join our finance team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for accuracy, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and internal systems
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
Liaise with internal departments to resolve reconciliation queries
Support continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controlsRequirements
Previous experience in a finance or reconciliation role preferred
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable Skills
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar)
