We are looking to appoint a high calibre Bid Manager to one of the UK’s leading marketing services companies.

Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the tender response function from qualification through to pitching stage.
* Manage bid writing and coordinate company bid teams to prepare responses.
* Continually appraise the bid library content to keep material current, compelling and catalogued.
* Report on bid activity levels and results for the Sales & Marketing and Connect RTMs (internal meetings).
* Maintain membership of tender subscription services.
* Keep up-to-date with public sector procurement legislation and advise the business as necessary.
* Stay informed about the company proposition and services, market and competitor developments.
* Assist in pitches with material and, where appropriate, contribute to the presentation team.
Skills required
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Analytical with ability to shape a solution to meet clients’ dilemmas.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships across the Group and with prospective clients.
* Very proficient in MS Office, especially Word (ability in InDesign is desirable).
* Excellent time management skills to manage bids to deadlines.
* Flexible approach to workload to manage peaks and troughs in bid pipeline and provide ad hoc support in other areas as required.
* Good understanding of company proposition and competitor awareness to develop winning solutions.
