Job Title: National Account Executive - Retail

Location: Field Based

What we’re looking for…

We’re looking for a driven and strategic National Account Executive to join the Retail team and develop key business opportunities. You’ll be responsible for delivering business growth through the execution of tailored customer plans, managing day-to-day activities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the effective implementation of our business and promotional strategies. This is a hands-on role requiring you to operate at all levels within the customer account base, driving visibility, availability, and alignment with our overall business objectives. You will work closely with both internal and external teams to deliver KPIs, increase market share, and ensure the successful execution of brand strategies.


Responsibilities

* Channel Strategy & KPI Delivery: Achieve KPIs such as turnover growth, gross profit percentage, volume growth, distribution, and cost per litre, within agreed annual budget costings.
* Customer & BDM Management: Build and manage relationships with key contacts within your account base, including controllers, area managers, and supply chain teams.
* Promotional Activity Management: Monitor promotional activity and ensure brand strategies are delivered effectively. Evaluate ROI from promotional spend.
* In-Store Execution: Drive in-store execution with the field sales force to ensure AG Barr products are visible and aligned with brand expectations.
* Account Planning: Use market data (including EPOS) to evaluate activity, develop account plans, and maximise opportunities in collaboration with NAMs and cross-functional teams.
* Budget Management: Manage and track budget for your customer account portfolio to align spend with the business plan while maximising profitability.
* Trade Days & Displays: Organise trade days and displays in depot/store and at trade shows to drive brand presence.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with NPD, logistics, and marketing to align with business objectives and participate in projects.


What you’ll bring

* Educational Background: Business-related degree or equivalent experience.
* FMCG Experience: Experience in an FMCG company, ideally with exposure to marketing, sales promotion, and P&L management.
* Account Management: Experience managing key accounts in FMCG with a focus on head office relationships and customer development.
* Market Intelligence: Ability to generate and analyse market data (EPOS) to evaluate activities and create targeted plans.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Project Management: Experience delivering complex projects, including trade days and promotional campaigns.
* Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel extensively within the UK, including overnight stays, as required.
