Overview
Clinical Lead Therapist-Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) – Gloucestershire. This role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part-time, 28.5 hours per week. If you are an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a passion for equipment and a clinical leadership mindset, this could be the role for you. ICES provides specialist equipment advice, support and training across the Integrated Care System. ICES has three main functions: advice and support, stock line management and review and equipment awareness (training). As clinical lead you will provide professional and clinical leadership, guidance and advice to support care delivery in the Integrated Community Equipment Services. You will collaborate with system partners including Commissioners, Gloucester Equipment Loan Service (GELS), Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHFT), Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) to ensure a high-quality service is delivered operationally and act as an expert, role model and mentor to colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Line management of colleagues
* Budget management
* Support referral prioritisation activity, ensuring triage of incoming workload and suitable response
* Explore customer (patient, clinician and provider) experiences of services
* Undertake staff development activity
* Support and promote competency acquisition of staff and clinical colleagues across partner organisations
* Act as an expert practitioner to inform clinical decision making and clinical reasoning for provision of community equipment
* Provide professional and clinical leadership, guidance and advice to support care delivery in the Integrated Community Equipment Services
* Collaborate with Equipment Services Operational Manager, system partners and commissioning to align service priorities with organisational priorities
* Work with system partners including Commissioners, Gloucester Equipment Loan Service (GELS), Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHFT), Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) and other partners
* Support a positive culture of development, growth and progression; embed values, holistic and integrated working
* Be an expert, role model and mentor to colleagues in the team and organisation
Qualifications
* Current registration with HCPC
* Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification
* Leadership qualification or demonstrated leadership experience
* Teaching or training qualification or demonstrated knowledge and experience
Desirable
* Membership of National Association of Equipment Providers
