Role – CE&I Responsible Engineer

Travel – 3 days in the office, 2 days remotely

The primary purpose of the SEP machines is to remove historic waste from the MSSS as part of the site's critical hazard and risk reduction mission. The waste is then processed into a safe containment and placed in interim storage at other facilities on the Sellafield site, with the goal of long-term storage in a deep geological repository.
The Responsible CE&I Engineer will lead a team of CE&I Engineers in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional work that achieves the safety, functional and business needs.
Essential:
1. Academic Qualification: HNC
2. Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineer
Experience:
3. Minimum 5 years successfully delivering a CE&I RE role on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working knowledge of the external Engineering Standards governing the following CE&I works:
4. Electrical Supply Infrastructure: LV drag chain, Lighting, Earthing, Fire Alarm, CCTV, etc
5. Programmable Electronic Systems: Lifecycle, MIS, SCADA & PLC systems
6. Cyber Security
7. Safety Systems
8. Process and Radiometric Special Instrumentation
9. Remote Handling
10. Contributing to/developing programmes and estimates to support project/task planning
11. Effective Communication skills and the ability to convey information to a range of stakeholders
12. Managing delivery in collaboration with the supply chain
13. Undertaking design assurance activities
14. Providing support to Construction
15. Providing support to Commissioning
16. Project management fundamentals
17. Willingness to develop early career engineers
Desirable:
18. Academic Qualification: Beng
19. Professional Qualification: Chartered Engineer
Experience:
20. Minimum 5 years successfully delivering a CE&I RE role on SL multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the appropriate external and SL Engineering Standards governing the CE&I works identified above.
