The Creative Industries School at Kingston College is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and highly organized individual to teach fashion construction, techniques, and processes. You will deliver exciting, industry-relevant skills and knowledge to students on our practical vocational courses.
As our Fashion Construction Lecturer, you should be familiar with relevant machines and tools, supporting their safe use in classrooms and workshops. You should also have a broad understanding of past, current, and future design trends and be able to support students in developing advanced skills and understanding.
We require you to hold a degree or professional qualification relevant to fashion sewing, pattern-cutting, and construction, along with a teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one). You should be recognized as a good or outstanding teacher with experience in supporting learners to achieve or exceed their potential, demonstrating a strong commitment to personalized learning, equality, and safeguarding.
With a good understanding of health and safety procedures in educational settings, you should possess good industry knowledge to support work experience and placements integral to the study program.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost of living review in the upcoming academic year.
