Consents & Environment Manager - Major Infrastructure Projects
📍 Location: Scotland (Hybrid Working)
📅 Start Date: ASAP
⏳ Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
💰 Rate: £85-£100 per hour (Inside IR35 via PAYE Umbrella)
🕒 Working Week: 37 hours
✅ Clearance: BPSS + Medical Questionnaire + Proof of Right to Work in the UK
🏗 Site Presence: Approx. 50% (North of Scotland)
About the Role
We're looking for a Consents & Environment Manager to join a high-profile infrastructure programme in Scotland. This is a delivery-focused role where you'll take ownership of environmental compliance and consents management to keep critical projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on consents discharge, environmental licensing, and preparation of contract specifications.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and internal environmental obligations.
* Manage multiple consultancy contracts for EnvCoW support and post-planning surveys.
* Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, statutory bodies, and contractors.
* Conduct inspections and audits to ensure environmental and planning consent compliance.
* Drive sustainability and regulatory excellence across project teams.
What We're Looking For
* Proven project management experience in major infrastructure projects.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
* Degree in Environmental discipline (postgraduate preferred) and membership of a relevant professional body desirable.
* Experience in environmental consultancy or consenting for large-scale projects.
