A specialist SEN school, is looking for a compassionate and dependable Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH and complex behaviours, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
Role Overview:
1. Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, focusing on their individual learning and emotional needs
2. Assist teaching staff with personalised learning activities and behaviour management strategies
3. Support pupils to develop positive behaviours and emotional regulation
4. Help maintain detailed records to track pupil progress and contribute to planning meetings
5. Work closely with colleagues, families, and external agencies to provide a holistic support approach
Skills and Experience:
6. Previous experience working with children with SEN and behavioural needs is preferred
7. Patient, calm, and understanding with strong interpersonal skills
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
9. Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential
10. Willingness to participate in training such as Team Teach or behaviour management techniques (training provided)
