Toyota are currently offering a new opportunity as an Assistant Accountant to join our business based out of our Bracknell dealership. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a very important role in assisting the Market Area Accountant in ensuring Jemca’s company policies are adhered to. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks therefore having great organisational skills, an excellent eye for detail, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure is all paramount to this role. This is a part time position for 20 hours per week, this can be split across 3, 4 or 5 days. What we need Reconciling and banking daily cash takings from all departments in the branch Reconciling PDQ and cash to end of day report and sales per department – resolving any discrepancies that may arise Providing Treasury with daily bank sheets to allow reconciliation of bank accounts Supporting branches MA Accountants with any ad hoc financial/cash requirement and assisting in resolving any queries that may arise Daily checking and authorising of Payments Assist Market Area Accountants with balance sheet reconciliations monthly Participate in Ad hoc queries, reporting an projects Responsible for booking transactions from our client’s paperless finance Post Bank Statement entries to correct accounts and correct customers Review, maintain and report on Cash, Warranty and Finance debtors on a daily basis. Highlighting any issues that arise to the Branch Credit Controller and MA Accountant Check documentation received from paperless finance, ensuring correct posting and narrative appears Regular Vehicle Stock and Parts Stock checks Assist with Petty Cash process Vehicle Reconciliations Your Skills Have experience working as an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant Have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team Great communication skills Produce a high degree of customer service and have excellent organisational skills Keen eye for detail You must be confident in your own ability Experience working on Drive (not essential) What we offer Excellent basic salary £29,000 - £31,000 Pro Rata Toyota/Lexus training pushing you through the ranks Modern work environment with top facilities Real career progression based around your aspirations Market leading benefits including healthcare, pension, childcare and company lease scheme About our business Jemca Car Group is one of the UKs largest Toyota and Lexus dealerships, employing over 500 employees across sites in Greater London and Thames Valley.
