We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker to support our client in her home in Wotton-Under-Edge.
Meet the Client:
Our client is a young lady in her twenties, who has a recent spinal cord injury. She lives at home with her parents and her lovely German Shepherd dog, and enjoys spending time with her partner. Our client is newly out of hospital and getting used to life back at home. She is going through intense physiotherapy so part of the role is to take her to her physio appointments. This is a lovely supportive family home environment to work in.
What you'll be doing:
This role is to support our client in her late twenties with a spinal cord injury in her family home and taking her out in to the community. This will involve supporting with moving and handling (you will be supported by a second support worker for all moving and handling), personal care, medication and domestic duties. You will also be required to drive our clients vehicle, taking her out into the community and to attend her physio appointments, therefore you must hold a full UK drivers licence.
Shifts:
* Day shifts (split shifts) - 9 hour long shift during the day and then returning for a 1 hour evening shift
* 8am-5pm, and then returning for an hour in the evening to help with the bedtime routine (8pm-9pm weekdays / 9pm-10pm weekends)
* Flexibility on the above hours required, depending on the clients schedule
* Part time or Full time available, depending how many days a week you are looking to work
