The Role
Working closely with SCS colleagues, insights teams, category partners and external agencies, you’ll help turn business questions into robust sensory and consumer research. From study design to clear, impactful recommendations, this role offers the opportunity to combine academic rigour with practical application and influence product development across the business.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Translate consumer insight and data into clear, actionable recommendations that deliver measurable business value.
2. Design, manage and execute qualitative and quantitative research to generate new and insightful consumer understanding across categories.
3. Communicate findings clearly and confidently to consumers, peers and senior stakeholders through well‑designed reports and presentations.
4. Work collaboratively with the Sensory and Consumer Science team and wider multi‑disciplinary project teams to apply relevant and forward‑thinking research methods.
5. Act as a key point of contact for Next Generation Product research, proactively managing research requirements and priorities.
6. Demonstrate strong curiosity for consumer behaviour, with an active interest in AI and emerging approaches to support capability development.
Skills and Experience Required
7. BSc or equivalent qualification in a human sciences discipline Psychology, Social Science or related field)
8. Strong project planning and management skills, with the ability to deliver against multiple priorities
9. Proven statistical analysis skills, with experience interpreting and communicating data insights
10. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a strong bias for action
11. Effective at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers
12. Highly competent in PowerPoint storytelling, with confidence presenting research and data to varied audiences
