We are seeking a Principal Ecologist to lead complex ecological assessments and drive biodiversity solutions for projects across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead large-scale ecological assessments and protected species surveys.
* Oversee biodiversity inputs for EIARs and planning applications.
* Manage teams and mentor junior ecologists.
* Provide senior-level ecological consultancy advice to clients.
* Ensure compliance with Irish and EU environmental legislation.
Requirements
* 6–10 years of experience in ecological consultancy.
* Strong knowledge of Irish ecological, planning, and environmental regulations.
* Relevant degree in ecology, zoology, or related field (MSc or chartership desirable).
* Previous experience managing ecological teams and projects.
* Full, clean Irish/EU driving license.
