Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide technical and service support for all products across OES and LIBS product lines to direct customers and the global distributor network.
* Travel within the UK and internationally to carry out installations, servicing, repairs, and on-site training.
* Deliver on-site commissioning and customer acceptance of new systems.
* Maintain accurate service and support records, including logging and managing Support Tickets via HubSpot CRM.
* Create, update, and distribute technical documentation including service notes, user manuals, and training materials.
* Track product and software issues, escalating quality concerns where required and supporting corrective solutions.
* Liaise with product specialists and attend product training at manufacturing sites as required. Perform technical demonstrations at the UK office, customer sites, and industry exhibitions.
* Deliver technical training to customers and distributors.
* Undertake other related duties as required to support the wider business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualification in Engineering, Physics, or a related Science discipline.
* Strong technical understanding of metallurgy and/or physics.
* At least 2 years’ hands‑on field service or maintenance experience with analytical or scientific instrumentation.
* Above‑average computer literacy, including MS Office; experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot is desirable.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
