The cost-of-living crisis is hitting our clients hard – and our Money Advice service has never been more vital. We’re looking for a dedicated Money Adviser to join our friendly team and help people across Wealden take control of their finances, manage debt, and improve their financial wellbeing.
You will, ideally, have previous experience of debt advice. You’ll work directly with clients to assess their situations, provide expert debt and budgeting advice, and advocate on their behalf with creditors and partner organisations.

What you’ll do
* Provide one-to-one advice on debt, budgeting, and money management
* Maximise clients’ income through benefits and entitlements
* Negotiate with creditors and liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations
* Manage your own caseload and maintain accurate case records
* Contribute to Citizens Advice research and campaigns to influence change
What we’re looking for
* Experience providing debt or money advice (Citizens Advice or similar background ideal)
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Good numeracy and budgeting skills
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to work with vulnerable clients
* Confident using IT and online case management systems
* A flexible, team-focused attitude

Salary: £28,589 (SP12) - £31,022 (SP17) depdendent on experience
Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible working considered))
Location: Hybrid – Crowborough, Hailsham, Uckfield & home working
Contract: Permanent
