This role provides hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art facility and the chance to pursue a Level 4 Automation and Controls Engineering apprenticeship.
Supported by the South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) - CEMAST in Fareham, you will work towards earning a Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering or Automation and Control Engineering. Gain knowledge and skills to provide effective technical support in the development, maintenance, and operation of the facility, working alongside the technical team for the Educational, Research, and Enterprise portfolio.
Qualifications
* Qualification in engineering or related subjects to Level 3 of the NQF comparison chart,
* or NVQ Level 3,
* or 1A Level,
* or 2 AS levels,
* or T level in design and development for engineering and manufacturing,
* And a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths, English, and Science at Grades 5-9,
* Able to sit aptitude tests.
Salary
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, pay will be at the lowest spine point of Level 3, which is Spine Point 22, equating to £30,805 full-time equivalent.
In year one, the salary will be 60% of this level, increasing to 70% in year two, and 80% in year three.
Note: All apprentices will receive at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate for their age, where this exceeds the contractual minimum.
