Job Description:
Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Salary: £60,000 to £90,000 + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a complex cut and carve project in Central London. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be site based and acting as the number 2 on a £150m project which includes the conversion of a listed building into high specification office space for a blue chip client.
The Senior Quantity Surveyors main responsibilities will include:
* Taking responsibility for ensuring all financial and commercial matters are effectively controlled throughout each phase of the project
* Oversee and mentor a commercial team that will include a Project QS, QS and Assistant QS
* Manage and review subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract administration according to the project requirements
* Ensure all change control procedures are implemented and variations are captured, costed and agreed
* Lead on the preparation and submission of monthly valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
* Monitor project cash flow, risk management and commercial performance
* Work closely with the site project team, clients, stakeholders and external consultants
* Ensure compliance with the contract
Requirements
* Previous experience working for a main contractor on large refurbishment or new build projects in the UK
* Strong contract knowledge (JCT)
* Confident when working with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
Offer
* Starting salary of £60,000 to £90,000
