Job Description
* Supervise the daily workload of the accounts team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
* Oversee the processing and payment of UK and overseas supplier invoices.
* Ensure entries are posted correctly into the accounting system.
* Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled daily and company credit cards are reconciled monthly.
* Ensure our Invoice Financing and Loan accounts balance at all times.
* Review and maintain correct use of general ledger codes.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and year-end processes in conjunction with the Accounts Manager and Finance Director.
* Liaise with external auditors as required.
* Assist the Finance Manager with payroll and HR administration tasks, and fully cover payroll processing when needed (full training provided).
* Provide cover for the Finance Manager during periods of absence, including overseeing departmental operations and team supervision.
* Undertake any other accounts or finance-related duties as required.
About You:
* AAT qualified or part-qualified (Level 3 or above) - or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
* Confident in maintaining accounts to trial balance standard.
* Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and supporting year-end processes is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
* Experience of supervising or supporting team members is desirable.
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar an advantage).
* Professional, proactive, and able to work to deadlines within a busy finance environment.
* Willingness to learn and cover as required.
Hours and Benefits: 8am to 4.30pm
* Full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday)
