Paralegal Location: Uxbridge – Parkview, 4th Floor, 82 Oxford Road, UB8 1UX Salary: £35,000 per annum Reporting to: Group Head of Legal About the Role We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Paralegal to join our Legal team at CareTech Group. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in corporate governance, company secretarial practice, or in-house legal services within a large and diverse organisation. The successful candidate will support the Legal function in maintaining high standards of corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, and efficient contract management across the Group. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors, supporting a broad range of corporate, commercial, governance and property-related matters while helping to ensure robust legal structures across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and legal support to the Group Head of Legal and wider Legal Team. Assist with drafting, formatting and reviewing legal documentation including NDAs, contracts and correspondence. Support legal due diligence exercises relating to commercial contracts, corporate transactions and property matters. Conduct legal research on governance, regulatory and contractual matters. Coordinate the signing, execution and storage of legal documents. Maintain central repositories for legal templates, agreements and governance documentation. Support disputes, litigation matters and regulatory enquiries where required. Liaise with stakeholders across the business to manage legal requests efficiently. Provide supporting documentation to satisfy KYC requirements for partners and suppliers. Assist with Board and Committee administration, including preparing and recording meeting minutes. Maintain statutory registers and company records in line with Companies House requirements. Support the preparation and submission of Companies House filings. Maintain governance documentation including Board resolutions and governance policies. Assist with governance-related projects including restructures, acquisitions and company changes. Ongoing development in corporate governance and legal practice knowledge. Skills & Experience Required Essential: Basic understanding of UK company law and corporate governance principles. Knowledge of legal administrative processes and document management. Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to conduct legal research and prepare governance documentation. Experience taking minutes and supporting governance processes. Desirable: Experience working with legal document management systems. Exposure to Companies House filings and statutory registers. Familiarity with company secretarial or corporate governance practices. Knowledge of legal documentation including NDAs, commercial contracts and Board resolutions.
